The Centre focuses on helping and supporting students through their first‑year university journey. We run the Foundation Year, support the CertHE programme, run the On‑Track initiative for students needing level‑progression support or assistance with resitting, provide Pass First Time academic study skills, and deliver the new student orientation.
We are looking for a team of Lecturers to support the STEM Foundation Year across campus. Responsibilities include 16 hours of teaching (four groups), academic support, office hours, tutorials, and facilitating the cover rota. Lecturers will be required on campus 3‑4 days a week to align with the student timetable.
We look for individuals who understand the challenges to student engagement in a university setting and have experience teaching Computing and academic skills. You must be positive, empathetic, and committed to engaging students and ensuring positive outcomes.
