Job summary

Havant & South Downs College is seeking a Lecturer/Teacher of Photography to deliver inspirational teaching, learning and assessment, ensuring outstanding success and progression for students.

The post holder should be self-motivated and innovative, capable of inspiring learners; responsibilities include planning, delivering high-quality teaching, recording progress, and engaging in marketing events.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Teaching Qualification or willingness to work towards this.
• High level of specialist knowledge of photography.
• At least 2 years’ experience teaching photography to full-time or part-time students (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Plan effectively and deliver high-quality teaching, learning, assessment and support, leading to excellent attendance, retention and achievement.
• Deliver formal scheduled teaching duties, tutorials and student assessment.
• Record, share and monitor student progress using College information systems.
• Prepare learning plans and schemes of work, keep records and undertake administration related to teaching duties.
• Attend parents’ evenings, marketing and promotional events.

HSDC is seeking a Lecturer/Teacher of Photography to ensure outstanding success and progression through the delivery of inspirational teaching, learning and assessment.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

• Planning effectively and delivering high-quality teaching, learning, assessment and support, leading to excellent attendance, retention and achievement.
• To deliver formal scheduled teaching duties, tutorials (as appropriate) and student assessment.
• To record, share and regularly monitor student progress using College information systems.
• To prepare learning plans schemes of work, keep relevant records and undertake all administration relevant to teaching duties.
• To attend parents’ evenings, marketing and promotional events.

Requirements

You will need:

• Level 5 or equivalent Teaching Qualification such as Certificate in Education or PGCE or willingness to work towards this.
• High level of specialist knowledge of the subject area
• At least 2 years’ experience in teaching the subject area to full-time or part-time students (Desirable).
