Job summary

MK College Group is recruiting a permanent, full-time Multi-Skills Lecturer for HMP Maidstone. You will deliver painting and decorating, tiling and plastering to learners inside the prison, helping them gain qualifications and confidence for employment on release.

We are seeking a creative, inspiring practitioner who can engage learners in a demanding setting. The college offers development opportunities and a strong safeguarding culture.

Qualifications

  • Deliver engaging classes to learners in a prison education setting.
  • Ability to teach multi-skills including Painting and Decorating, Tiling and Plastering.
  • Support learners to achieve qualifications and build confidence for employment on release.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver multi-skills courses to prisoners within HMP Maidstone.
  • Motivate and guide learners to achieve qualifications and transferable skills.
  • Contribute to a positive learning experience and safeguarding commitments.

What skills and experience we're looking for

HMP Maidstone have an exciting opportunity for a multi-skills Lecturer to join the prison-based Education Team.

We are seeking a creative and inspiring Lecturer who can deliver engaging classes to learners who are based within the prison. As a multi-skills Lecturer, you will be supporting learners to achieve success and guiding them through the courses. Units to include Painting and Decorating, Tiling, and Plastering. You will not only help them to achieve qualifications, but also confidence and skills they can apply to employment upon release, or to other areas within education.
