Job Overview

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Lecturer in Computing to join us, teaching on a range of courses for adults and young people, including BTEC & Technical (T level) qualifications. Developing the curriculum in line with national requirements, you must assist in developing student‑centred teaching and learning strategies to contribute to increased retention, achievement and progression. You will provide regular feedback to students as identified in the College Charter, giving group and individual tutorial support to enable them to achieve maximum benefit from their course of programme.

Responsibilities
  • Teach and assess learning on a range of courses, including 16‑19 and adult learners, from entry level to level 3, including college‑based qualifications and workforce development.
  • Assist in developing curriculum and student‑centred teaching and learning strategies.
  • Provide regular feedback to students and give group and individual tutorial support.
  • Liaise with the Senior Curriculum Manager and other colleagues in the College.
  • Take an active role in your own professional development.
  • Teach across multiple sites.
Qualifications
  • Relevant degree (or equivalent) and a teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards this).
  • Proven experience of teaching and preparing relevant materials.
  • Awareness of pastoral and academic needs of students from a variety of backgrounds and a commitment to inclusive education.
  • Experience of working with Apprenticeship standards is desirable.
  • Experience of online or blended teaching/learning.
