We are currently seeking a new Lecturer in Renewable Energy Sources to join our rapidly growing Directorate in Engineering, Construction and Building Technologies. The role will support courses delivered from our Netzero Skills Centre for both short commercial courses for industry professionals and apprentices learning their trade.
We are particularly interested in applicants who can teach or train individuals in the following areas:
Ideally candidates will have experience working with young people in a college setting or as a mentor to apprenticeship learners. You should be able to motivate and inspire, set clear targets and monitor progress to ensure students succeed.
Key attributes include strong organisational skills, the ability to multi‑task and communicate with a range of audiences, and close collaboration with the Director for the area. A crucial responsibility is maintaining a safe, suitable, and compliant Netzero Skills Centre environment for assessment activities.
The position is based at our Ipswich campus. Suffolk New College has multiple campuses; travel between sites may be required.
