Job summary

Farnborough College of Technology in Farnborough, Hampshire, invites applications for a Lecturer in Sport & Exercise Science on a maternity cover fixed-term contract.

You will deliver HE BSc (Hons) Sports Science & Performance Therapy and FE BTEC Sports & Sports Science at Level 3, with administration and liaison duties with awarding bodies.

The role requires a CIMPSPA Level 4 Advanced Strength and Conditioning, a Sport Science Masters, and ideally a teaching qualification.

We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual to inspire FE & HE students in Sports and Exercise Science.

Primary responsibilities will include the delivery of HE BSc (Hons) Sports Science & Performance Therapy as well as subjects on the FE BTEC Sports & Sports Science Qualifications at Lv3. This role will also include administration associated with the degree programme and furthermore liaising with awarding bodies associated with the degree.

Essential

• You will have a background in sports science and strength and conditioning and hold a CIMPSPA endorsed Level 4 Advance Strength and Conditioning.
• You will have a Sport Science Masters degree with industry experience in applying your subject specialism.

Ideally

• Hold a teaching qualification and experience of teaching 16-19-year-olds; or willing to study to gain a teaching qualification.
