A specialist education provider in Greater London is seeking a Lecturer in Roofing. The ideal candidate will possess an NVQ Level 3 in Roofing and experience in the industry. As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for engaging students through workshops and classroom learning. Salary: £40,454 - £42,828 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Leeds College of Building is the UK’s only specialist further education construction college, and we have an excellent reputation for providing quality education in Construction and the Built Environment. We are looking for a qualified trade professional willing to share their knowledge and skills with young people and adults.
This is a teaching role which involves workshops and classroom learning; your priority will be to engage and inspire our students to achieve their full potential.
You should have relevant and recent industry experience, an NVQ Level 3 in Roofing and the ability to demonstrate skills and understand the needs of learners in a training environment. Previous teaching experience is desirable but not essential; the ability to communicate effectively is essential together with excellent knowledge of health & safety issues.
This role is eligible for the DfE Levelling Up Premium Payments, of up to £6,000 for FE teachers, for those meeting the criteria. This involves the government paying successful candidates from an industry background to get into teaching. Leeds College of Building will fund successful candidates to become a qualified FE teacher.
