Job summary

The School of Education, a thriving department of around 45 academic staff, represents a continuation of teacher training started in 1906 at Avery Hill College. Working in partnership with a broad range of educational settings across London and the South East of England; the School delivers programmes in Early Years, Primary, Secondary and Further Education, and advanced and professional development at Masters and Doctoral levels.

The School is part of the University of Greenwich’s highly impactful Faculty of Education, Health and Human Sciences. Drawing on long-established and extensive partnerships across a wide range of professional sectors, the Faculty has a strong focus on professional workforce development.

All academic staff join one of our seven ILD Research Centres.

Reporting to the Primary Academic Portfolio Lead, we are looking to appoint on a fixed term, part time basis for six months., a candidate to join our enthusiastic Primary, teaching across our primary programmes, and potentially contributing to lead mentoring in settings.

Candidates will be required to have experience of teaching in Primary Schools settings, will be familiar with our training curriculum, they will also have good communication skills, be organised, and flexible with fluctuating workload throughout the year.
