Job description
Lecturer in Business & Management – Full Time

Here at Bury College, we are welcoming applications for a Lecturer in Business & Management on a full‑time basis. Join us to deliver excellent and inclusive teaching and learning, inspire learners, and support their progression. Interviews will be held on Monday 15th December 2025.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high‑quality, inclusive teaching in the classroom, using curriculum resources including ILT to support achievement.
  • Plan and present lessons that meet the syllabus and foster active learning.
  • Conduct ongoing formative and summative assessment of learner work, both in class and through out‑of‑class activities, to monitor progress and inform teaching.
  • Ensure learners succeed through regular progress reviews and respond promptly to new curriculum developments.
  • Produce effective schemes of work and lesson plans, demonstrating inclusive and challenging teaching strategies that meet individual learner needs.
  • Support students to attend and succeed by recognising and addressing their individual needs.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree or equivalent in a Business or Management related subject.
  • Experience of successful teaching on Business & Management courses (or suitable teaching practice for New Teacher programmes).
  • A full teaching qualification or professional recognition in learning and skills (or currently working towards one).
  • Experience or ability to deliver vocational Business & Management courses and, if qualified, A Level Business, Economics & Accounts courses.
  • For those without a full teaching qualification, a Trainee Lecturer position is also available – apply using the same process and indicate that you are applying for the Trainee Post.
