Job summary

The University of Leeds invites applications for a Lecturer in nursing based on campus with hybrid working options. You will teach primarily on the BSc (Hons) Nursing Adult, Mental Health Nursing and Child programmes, and assess postgraduate modules as needed.

You will hold a Masters degree in a related discipline, have current NMC registration, and bring post-qualifying clinical teaching experience to support an exceptional student experience.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in nursing or related discipline.
  • Current registration on the NMC Professional Register.
  • Recent teaching experience with students and/or professional groups.
  • Experience teaching on undergraduate and postgraduate modules.

Responsibilities

  • Lead teaching on the undergraduate BSc (Hons) Nursing Adult, Mental Health, and Child programmes.
  • Teach on and assess postgraduate modules and programmes.
  • Contribute to the School of Healthcare teaching portfolio.

Job description

This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

As a Lecturer in nursing, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our teaching portfolio working primarily on the undergraduate BSc (Hons) Nursing Adult, Mental Health Nursing and Child programmes which focus on the theoretical and clinical elements that underpin the fundamentals of nursing practice. You will also have the opportunity to teach on and assess students studying postgraduate modules and programmes. You will have a Masters’ degree in a related discipline and some recent experience of teaching students and / or professional groups. You will also have current registration on the NMC Professional Register with some post qualifying clinical experience.
