Job summary

City College Norwich invites applications for a Game Design Lecturer within the Media, Business and Digital Industries department. This 0.5FTE role covers 18 hours per week with a pro rata salary between £34,421 and £41,074 per annum.

You will teach Games Design to Level 2 & 3, inspire students to progress to apprenticeships, employment or higher education, and contribute to curriculum development with a strong art and digital media background.

Qualifications

• Relevant teaching qualifications and experience in teaching Games Design Level 2 & 3, or willingness to work towards these qualifications.
• Strong background in art and digital media with demonstrable experience in 3D design and animation.
• Significant industry experience with knowledge of contemporary practices in games development.

Responsibilities

• Teach Games Design to Level 2 & 3 learners, supporting progression to apprenticeships, employment or higher education.
• Deliver engaging lessons, assess student work and provide feedback to support learning.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and contribute to curriculum development.

Requirements:

• Relevant teaching qualifications and experience in teaching Games Design Level 2 & 3, or a willingness to work towards these qualifications
• Strong background in art and digital media with demonstrable experience in 3D design and animation
• Inspiring and educating the next generation of game designers, bringing both creative and technical knowledge into the classroom.
• Significant industry experience with a clear commitment to maintaining up-to-date knowledge of contemporary practices and developments within the games sector
