Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational and motivated lecturer to make a valuable contribution at a university that is proud of reputation for producing highly employable and adaptable graduates and postgraduates.

We're looking to appoint a lecturer to our diverse community of staff, who will be able to contribute to teaching on our Accounting courses and who has experience in teaching Financial Accounting subjects such as Financial Reporting, Audit and Assurance, Financial Analysis, Corporate Ethics and Taxation. You will be responsible for delivering innovative and engaging teaching, supervision and learning support to our students across the subject area.

It is expected that you will actively engage in research and scholarship. If you have a PhD and can supervise at this level, you will have opportunities to develop as the University has an active programme for supporting early career researchers.

To be successful in this post, you should also have:

  • A commitment to educating students at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
  • The ability to use a mixture of traditional and innovative teaching methods; we require a track record of teaching in a blended learning environment.
  • Research potential as well as a relevant degree and postgraduate qualifications in the subject area. Professional accounting qualifications are also desirable.

This is a full‑time (37 hours per week) permanent post, based at our Brighton Moulsecoomb campus and we welcome applications from people seeking to job share.
