Qualifications

  • Possess a PGCE/Certificate of education or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Possess a Level 3 in English.
  • Track record of successful teaching across a range of levels.
  • Detailed knowledge of subject matter and examination/assessment requirements.
  • Understanding of value added and use of progress performance measures.
  • Experience developing external partnerships to enrich teaching and learning.
  • Ability to provide clear, direct and constructive written and verbal feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Teach students enrolled on a range of courses.
  • Implement feedback and assessment systems to check learning and adapt teaching to learner progress.
  • Operate within the Quality Assurance framework.
  • Manage courses or parts of courses including administration and organisation.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and implementation.
  • Maintain a professional learning environment and apply behaviour management processes.
  • Maintain and update teaching expertise to continually improve practice.

Due to continued growth for the 2026/27 academic year, we are recruiting up to four Lecturers in English to join us from September 2026, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach students enrolled on a range of courses

  • Contribute to curriculum innovation, development, and implementation.

  • Maintain and update teaching expertise and skills to continually develop your teaching practice and deliver the best outcomes for learners.
Essential Criteria
  • Possess a PGCE/Certificate of education or equivalent teaching qualification

  • Detailed knowledge of relevant course subject matter and examination and assessment requirements
