Job description

Windsor Forest Colleges Group is looking for a Lecturer in English to join our Slough & Langley College team on a permanent, full‑time basis. The role offers a salary on the Academic Pay Scale ranging from £31,133 (T1) to £44,841 (T11), depending on experience and qualifications.

Lecturer in English

As a Lecturer in English, you will be joining our Ofsted Rated Good Colleges Group delivering effective teaching programs within your competency areas, focusing on developing independent learners and facilitating student progression.

Responsibilities

Working closely with Specialist Learning Coaches you will assist learners facing barriers to learning and assist them in breaking through and removing these barriers to ensure high levels of student attendance, retention and achievement. By engaging in the assessment of learners from application, progression, setting targets and milestones, providing necessary support where necessary.

The successful candidate will ideally possess a level 3 or higher qualification in English as well as a recognised teaching qualification or the willingness to work towards within the first 2 years in role. Experience and knowledge of ongoing curriculum development and managing the learning process as well as the ability to demonstrate successful experience in supporting learners to high achievement.
