A leading educational institution in the UK is seeking an experienced Lecturer in English to deliver English GCSE and Functional Skills. The ideal candidate will have a Level 4 qualification in a relevant subject and experience teaching learners aged 14-19. The role includes curriculum development and supporting student success. £27,185 to £41,014 per annum
As a Lecturer in English, you will be part of the English & Maths department, delivering English GCSE and Functional Skills to learners on study programmes. You will contribute to the development and success of the department, including focusing on attendance, achievement and student success alongside, curriculum design/development linked to vocational areas whilst ensuring a high standard of quality provision is offered.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who possesses a Level 4 or above qualification in a relevant subject discipline and a recognised teaching qualification.
You must have experience of teaching English to 14-19 year old learners and have a strong awareness of current developments within your discipline. You should also have proven organisational ability, work well as part of a team and be willing to work flexibly.
