Lecturer in Civil Engineering – Maths and Structural Engineering

£40,454 – £42,828 per annum

We have an excellent reputation for providing quality education in Construction and the Built Environment and due to growth, we are currently looking for full‑time (part‑time considered) lecturers in Construction Management to join our team of construction specialists.

If you have industry experience in Civil Engineering and are considering a career in teaching, we would love to hear from you. Potential subjects include Principles of Structural Design, Quantitative Methods for Design Management. We will explore your areas of expertise in more detail at interview and discuss how your skills can best fit within our team. Ideally, we would like candidates to hold professional membership with an appropriate institution or be willing to work towards achieving this.

The ability to communicate effectively with adults and young people is essential. Experience of teaching at National and Higher National level is desirable. Possession of (or willingness to achieve) a Certificate in Education will be essential. (Teacher training will be provided if necessary)

This role is eligible for the DfE Levelling Up Premium Payments, of up to £6,000 for FE teachers, for those meeting the criteria. Leeds College of Building will fund successful candidates to become a qualified FE teacher.
