Lecturer in Civil Engineering
£40,454 - £42,828 per annum

We have an excellent reputation for providing quality education in Construction and the Built Environment and due to growth, we are currently looking for full time or part time lecturers in Construction Management to join our team of construction specialists.
If you have industry experience in the construction industry and are interested in a teaching career, we would like to hear from you.
If you have industry experience in Civil Engineering and are considering a career in teaching, we would love to hear from you. Potential subjects include Hydraulics, Highways, Structural Design, and Geology and Soil Mechanics. We will explore your areas of expertise in more detail at the interview and discuss how your skills can best fit within our team. Ideally, we would like candidates to hold professional membership with an appropriate institution or be willing to work towards achieving this.
The ability to communicate effectively with adults and young people is essential. Experience of teaching at National and Higher National level is desirable. Possession of (or willingness to achieve) a Certificate in Education will be essential. (Teacher training will be provided if necessary)

This role is eligible for the DfE Levelling Up Premium Payments, of up to £6,000 for FE teachers, for those meeting the criteria. This involves the government paying successful candidates from an industry background to get into teaching. Leeds College of Building will fund successful candidates to become a qualified FE teacher.
