Lecturer in Construction Management – Leeds College of Building

Hours: 37 per week

We are a leading college dedicated to inspiring the next generation in the construction industry. We are looking for full‑time or part‑time lecturers in Construction Management.

Responsibilities
  • Provide aspirational teaching at National and Higher National levels.
  • Communicate effectively with adults and young people.
  • Deliver content across Construction Management and related subjects such as Hydraulics, Highways, Structural Design, Geology, and Soil Mechanics.
  • Participate in curriculum development and university teaching improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain professional registration or pursue membership with relevant institutions.
Qualifications
  • Industry experience in construction or civil engineering.
  • Professional membership with an appropriate institution or willingness to pursue it.
  • Possession of, or willingness to achieve, a Certificate in Education (Teacher Training will be provided if necessary).
  • Experience teaching or training at National and Higher National levels is desirable.

Funding opportunity

This role is eligible for the DfE Levelling Up Premium Payments, of up to £6,000 for FE teachers, for those meeting the criteria. Leeds College of Building will fund successful candidates to become a qualified FE teacher.
