Job summary

Global Banking School is seeking Lecturers to teach across undergraduate levels for the BA (Hons) Global Business and Entrepreneurship, in partnership with Oxford Brookes University. You may need to teach during weekdays, evenings, and weekends due to delivery model.

You will deliver management modules, develop materials, assess students, and stay current with developments in your field and student support practices.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable).
• Experience in UK higher education lecturing in the subject area.
• Experience supervising student work and providing feedback.
• Strong reporting skills and ability to maintain organised student records.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess student work to meet learning outcomes.
• Develop, update, and improve course materials as appropriate.
• Use a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials.
• Engage in staff development, peer observations, and administrative duties.
• Stay up-to-date with developments in the field and student support practices.

The Role:

Weare currently seekingLecturers to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of ourBA (Hons) Global Business and Entrepreneurshipprogramme with our Oxford Brookes University partnership. Due to our delivery model, we require flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings, and at weekends.

What you'll be doing:

As a Lecturer in Business at Global Banking School, you will deliver management related modules in the above areas. You will develop and deliver comprehensive course materials, undertake all aspects of learning, teaching and assessment of students and keep up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices.

Responsibilities include:

• All aspects of planning, delivering, and assessing student work, ensuring that all learning outcomes are met
• Developing, updating, and improving course materials as appropriate
• Using a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials
• Actively engaging in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties
• Understanding and keeping up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices
• Working towards a range of clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and student progression

About you:

• You will hold a Master's degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable)
• You will have previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area
• You will be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter
• You will have experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback
• You will have experience of accurate reporting and abilityto maintain thorough and organised student records
• You will be able to work under pressure, plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines
• You will have excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills
• You will be able to work with diverse groups of people

Desirable:

• You will hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during the probationary period and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent)
• You will have experience of design / development of academic or professional education programmes or equivalent
