The role

The School of Computer Science at the University of Bristol is seeking to grow our thriving and talented AI community by hiring a new AI lecturer. Bristol hosts Isambard AI, the UK`s national AI supercomputing facility, leads two of the UK`s nine UKRI National AI Research Hubs (in Collective Intelligence and Information Theory), runs back-to-back UKRI Centres for Doctoral Training in Interactive AI and Practice-Oriented AI, and has recently launched an innovative undergraduate degree in Computer Science with AI.

Bristol`s world-class AI research spans applied and theoretical work in intelligent agents, machine learning, computer vision, reasoning, and reinforcement learning, and tackles problems in multimodal and interactive AI. We solve interdisciplinary challenges in collaboration with researchers in creative technologies, the environmental and life sciences, and robotics. We encourage applicants from any area of AI to apply and are specifically interested in candidates with strengths in Multi-Modal AI and Computer Vision, and those that bring new kinds of AI expertise to the School.

The School values diversity and is committed to creating an inclusive environment where all staff can thrive.
