A leading educational institution in Easton is seeking a Lecturer in Agriculture to lead and deliver courses in the land-based sector. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in estate management and horticulture operations, along with a degree and a teaching qualification. The role involves engaging students through hands-on learning and collaboration to provide a comprehensive educational experience.
14.4 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, fixed term until July 2027
Salary - £13,420 - £16,029 per annum actual.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Agriculture, Countryside and Environment team to course‑lead, plan and deliver across our land‑based provision, with a particular focus on estate skills, practical habitat management, and horticultural operations.
This role supports our countryside and environmental technical qualifications, offering students a dynamic opportunity to study the theoretical components of the industry while developing practical skills through work with industry partners and on our vast, diverse estate.
We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced individual with a strong background in the land‑based industry, particularly in estate work, practical habitat management and maintenance of horticultural spaces. Experience in chainsaw use, ATV operation, and brush cutting is highly desirable, alongside knowledge of:
Applicants should have a solid history of professional vocational experience in a relevant field. Ideally, candidates will be educated to degree level and hold a teaching qualification, or be willing to work towards one upon appointment.
You’ll enjoy supporting students through engaging and well‑structured sessions that support student progress and help learners grow in confidence and achieve their goals. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the department and wider college, you’ll contribute to the planning and delivery of a high‑quality curriculum, ensuring learners benefit from a well‑rounded and rewarding educational experience.
