The Role

You will lead the design, delivery and continuous innovation of undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Financial Reporting and Auditing, while contributing to Corporate Finance and other accounting electives. Teaching is conducted in seminar-style groups (typically 8-14 students) and is supported by our dedicated academic and non-academic staff. Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Accounting or Finance (submitted or near‑completion acceptable) OR a full/part Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA, CPA, ACA).
  • Demonstrable expertise in Financial Reporting and Auditing at degree or professional level.
  • Evidence of scholarly or practice‑oriented research output (working papers, professional reports, policy submissions or REF‑able publications).
  • Commitment to small‑group, research‑led and technology‑enhanced pedagogy.
  • Right to work in the UK by January 2026.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Higher Education Academy Fellowship (or willingness to achieve within 18‑24 months).
  • Post‑qualification industry experience in audit, corporate reporting or risk advisory.
  • Experience with data‑analytics software (ACL, IDEA, Power‑BI, Tableau, Stata, R, Python, Zero or others).
  • Track record of engaging with professional bodies or standard‑setting boards.
