Lecturer, Hospitality and Catering – Thurrock Campus

We are seeking a proactive and motivated individual to join the Department of Service Industries, which has an expanding Hospitality and Catering curriculum area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high‑quality teaching and learning to 16‑19 students.
  • Develop and apply appropriate teaching techniques and materials to enable all learners to achieve their full potential.
  • Manage learner behaviour and attendance to meet KPIs.
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A recognised teaching qualification and an assessing qualification are essential.
  • Relevant industry experience in Hospitality and Catering.
  • Experience working with 16‑19 students and holding City and Guild, Gateway qualifications is an advantage.
  • Experience of working with learners who have additional needs would also be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills and IT skills are essential.
