Overview

Lecturer - English & Maths for Foundation Learning

Foundation Learning is an area within the college that delivers programmes for learners with SEND, barriers to learning and SEMH. The post-holder will deliver effective Teaching, Learning and Assessment of English and Maths to Foundation Learning learners, with additional teaching within the Department.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver GCSE and Functional Skills English and Maths within the Department, working with the cross-college English and Maths Department to support progression, tracking milestones and standardisation in line with awarding organisation requirements and college quality processes.
  • Deliver highly effective Teaching, Learning and Assessment of English and Maths to Foundation Learning learners; contribute to the delivery of other teaching within the Department as required.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency, progression planning, and quality enhancement across programmes.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Motivated, enthusiastic and a strong team player who strives to deliver the best possible outcomes for our learners.
  • Experience in teaching English and Maths in an FE/HE context is advantageous (as applicable from role).
  • Ability to work to Awarding Organisation requirements and college quality processes.
