Windsor Forest Colleges Group is seeking a Lecturer in English at Berkshire College of Agriculture to teach on a 30-hour week, Monday to Thursday. This permanent part-time role involves delivering GCSE and Functional Skills English to post-16 learners.
You will plan engaging lessons, adapt teaching to support learners with varying starting points, assess progress, and help students improve while encouraging attendance and building confidence in English.
Windsor Forest Colleges Group is looking for a Lecturer in English to join the team at Berkshire College of Agriculture for 30 hours a week working Monday to Thursday.
This permanent, part time position has an actual salary ranging from £25,648.38 (T1) to £36,762.97 (T11), depending on qualifications and experience. The full time equivalent for this scale is £31,633 to £45,341.
As a Lecturer in English, you will join our Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ Colleges Group, teaching at the Berkshire College of Agriculture campus. You will work with post 16 learners, helping them build the reading, writing, speaking and listening skills they need to succeed in GCSE or Functional Skills qualifications.
You will plan and deliver engaging lessons that support learners with a wide range of starting points and experiences. Working closely with Learning Support Assistants, you will adapt your teaching so that every student can take part and make progress.
You will use assessment to understand where learners are, address gaps in their knowledge and help them improve over time. You will also play an important role in encouraging attendance and building learners’ confidence in English.
We are looking for someone who cares about their subject, communicates clearly and can motivate students who may not always find English easy or enjoyable.
