Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week

About The Role

We are seeking a Lecturer in English to join our Maths and English department at The Bedford College Group. The role involves preparing, delivering, and assessing English courses, supporting students, managing learning, contributing to curriculum development, and participating in marketing activities.

About You
  • Qualifications: Relevant degree or level 5 qualification in English; Certificate in Education/PGCE or willingness to achieve; GCSE Maths and English (grades A-C).
  • Experience: Recent teaching and assessing GCSE English; knowledge of current developments; experience working with diverse backgrounds; promoting equality and diversity; high performance in previous roles; achieving team objectives.
  • Skills: Excellent classroom management; organizational skills; positive relationships; effective communication; promoting College's reputation.
  • Commitment: Supporting high-quality learning; proficient in Microsoft Office; administrative skills; ongoing professional development; health and safety awareness.
  • Personal Qualities: Flexible; safeguarding aware; ability to work across locations; valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
