Lecturer, Creative Media (26.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)

The School of Creative and Performing Arts is looking to appoint an exceptional lecturer to join our media team. We currently offer a full range of media courses encompassing TV/film and print and digital-based media, delivered through both UAL qualifications and T Levels in Media, Broadcast and Production. The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging lessons to learners on our Level 1, 2 and 3 programmes of study, and take on Course Leader responsibilities for a group of learners.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons to Level 1, 2 and 3 students.
  • Take on Course Leader responsibilities for a group of learners.
  • Assess and provide formative and summative feedback to learners to help ensure progress.
  • Work closely with the media team, students, parents/carers, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Strong communicator with a passion for the subject area.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically InDesign and Illustrator.
  • Good understanding of theoretical practices in media, and the application of theory into practice.
  • Industry knowledge and experience are advantageous.
  • For those who do not hold a teaching qualification, a minimum Level 3 qualification in your subject specialism plus Maths and English at Level 2, followed by a Certificate in Education Level 5 or PGCE Level 6.
  • College can fund in‑house qualifications for the successful candidate.
