Reaseheath College based near Nantwich in South Cheshire is a leading provider of land-based education in the UK and has exceptional links with employers and associated businesses. The College has a beautiful rural setting situated amongst 330 hectares of farm, parklands, lake and established woodland. The Academy of Land and Environment is a vibrant and industry-focused department delivering high-quality education and training in forestry, arboriculture, countryside management, and related disciplines.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Academy of Land and Environment as a Lecturer/Course Manager specialising in Forestry and Arboriculture. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and practical training to a diverse range of learners, helping them develop the skills and knowledge needed for successful careers in the land-based industries. The role also includes course management responsibilities, providing pastoral support, and contributing to curriculum development.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver outstanding teaching and practical instruction across forestry and arboriculture subjects.
• Assess learner competence using a variety of methods in line with awarding body requirements.
• Undertake course management duties including tutorials, pastoral care, and safeguarding.
• Engage with employers and stakeholders to enhance student recruitment and employment outcomes.
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will:

• Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Forestry and Arboriculture or a related subject.
• Possess relevant industry experience and CS qualifications (CS30, CS31, CS38, CS39).
• Have or be willing to work towards a teaching qualification.
• Demonstrate strong communication, planning, and organisational skills.
• Be committed to continuous professional development and inspiring learners.
