Lecturer B – Travel and Tourism – Bolton College

Bolton College is seeking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated Lecturer B in Travel and Tourism to join our successful Service Industries Team.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Qualified to Level 3 in Travel and Tourism
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent)
  • Level 2 Maths and English qualifications
  • Experience in the delivery of Travel and Tourism programmes
  • Experience of assessing students at Levels 2 & 3 in Travel and Tourism

Day‑to‑day responsibilities include:

  • Support the Head of Department by coordinating and supervising a small team in the delivery of high quality and inclusive provision within a curriculum area.
  • Deliver high quality and inclusive teaching and learning on one or more courses.
  • Support curriculum management and course development.
  • Take part and comply with all quality assurance procedures and systems within the area of responsibility.
  • Develop resources, support teaching programmes and deliver on a number of courses as required.
  • Support the achievement of annual targets for learner numbers, income, expenditure and success rates.
  • Commit to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk, and undergo an enhanced DBS check.
