About The Role

As a Lecturer in Sustainability, you will be able to demonstrate excellent knowledge of a key discipline within the field, such as environmental policy, climate change, or carbon management. Enthusiastic about student-centred pedagogy, you will contribute to the delivery of several units, including programme management as required, across a range of degree programmes, particularly in sustainability and green economy, ecology and wildlife conservation, environmental sciences, and geography. You will be able to demonstrate appropriate pedagogical approaches for units delivered both face-to-face and online. You will also make a significant contribution to student employability and to professional engagement with relevant internal and external organisations at regional, national, and international levels.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver units across a range of degree programmes in sustainability and green economy, ecology and wildlife conservation, environmental sciences, and geography.
  • Provide programme management as required.
  • Employ appropriate pedagogical approaches for both face-to-face and online units.
  • Contribute to student employability and professional engagement with internal and external organisations at regional, national, and international levels.
Qualifications
  • Doctorate level or equivalent ability to create and disseminate knowledge.
  • Capability to convert this knowledge into a doctorate in a maximum of 3-5 years from the date of appointment.
