Job summary

auto-scan is hiring a Leather Technician in Witham, Essex for a 3-Month FTC. Immediate start. Pay £16.50 PAYE or £21.45 Ltd, Monday–Friday, 07:30–16:30. Role involves crafting luxury interiors for premium automotive programmes.

You will combine traditional leather-handling skills with modern manufacturing standards, delivering flawless finishes. DBS required; visa sponsorship not available; no speculative CVs from agencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in leather automotive environment desirable.
• Proficiency with leather handling techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret patterns, drawings and work orders.
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Good time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Understanding of workplace Health & Safety.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products meet design specifications, tolerances and customer quality standards.
• Maintain a flexible and adaptable approach to changing requirements at short notice.
• Maintain a professional, accountable, proactive and helpful attitude at all times.
• Have a strong work ethic with a can do attitude.
• Perform rework or repairs on defective items.
• Liaise with other technicians to achieve desired product finishes.

The Role

In this role, you’ll combine traditional leather-handling skills with modern manufacturing standards, taking pride in delivering flawless finishes that exceed customer expectations.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday 07:30am 1630pm
