You will lead projects from concept through to production, focusing on improving leather performance and collaborating with global brands. Candidates should have a strong knowledge in wet end leather processes, a relevant Bachelor's degree, and 2-3 years of industry experience.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years’ experience in a tannery or leather chemical supplier.
  • Familiarity with leather testing standards.
  • Experience with luxury leather goods or footwear (desirable).

Your innovation playground
  • Develop cutting-edge tanning recipes to improve product performance in our lab and pilot plant
  • Lead new product development projects for consumer markets from concept to full-scale manufacture
  • Apply your wet end leather chemistry and finishing expertise to groundbreaking sustainable materials
  • Work hands‑on with formulation and application testing at the forefront of leather technology
  • Collaborate with global brands on next- sustainable leather solutions
  • Transfer innovative materials and processes into commercial production
You bring
  • 2–3 years’ experience in a tannery or with a leather chemical supplier
  • Strong knowledge of wet end leather chemicals, processes, and/or leather coatings and finishes
  • Bachelor's degree in Leather Technology, Materials Science, Textile Chemistry, or related field
  • Familiarity with leather testing standards
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
  • Project management abilities and collaborative mindset
  • Experience with luxury leather goods or footwear (desirable)

Location: Peterborough, PE7 3HH, UK

Travel: Approximately 10% of working time
