About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Leasehold Services Team as a Leasehold Administrator. Your primary focus will be to provide a proactive administrative support function to the Leasehold Team, ensuring that resources are targeted appropriately to achieve key service priorities.

You will work collaboratively in delivering the shared goals of the Leasehold Service to enable value for money. Responding to enquiries from internal and external customers: face‑to‑face, by telephone, letter and email in a way that positively promotes the council and its services.

About The Team You’ll Be Working In

The Leasehold Team is the Council’s expert in all leasehold matters. Working collaboratively with teams across the organisation, we are focussed on the needs of our leaseholders, freeholders and shared owners.

The Team currently consults with leaseholders on major works, manages lease extensions, pre‑assignments, enfranchisement and alteration requests and advises our Housing Colleagues on how to manage breaches of lease.

Our leasehold service is evolving, bringing Service Charge calculations into the team and we are committed to delivering a high‑quality service to our customers.

About You

As a Leasehold Administrator, you will play a key role in delivering professional, responsive, and comprehensive business support.

  • Is competent in the use of information technology, in particular word and excel based applications and financial IT systems that support the financial management and control of the organisation.
  • Can work independently and flexibly in a changing and evolving environment responding quickly to conflicting workloads and changing priorities. Ability to self‑manage, organise, co‑ordinate and multi‑task to meet agreed work deadlines and performance targets.
  • Has strong interpersonal skills with the ability to tailor information effectively to present both orally and in writing to different audiences. Able to produce financial reports for senior managers, service department and members under direction.
