A leading adult education provider in Billingshurst is seeking a Specialist Learning Support Worker for a full-time, permanent position to support learners with severe and complex needs. The role involves 1:1, small group, and whole class support, ensuring learners' educational needs are met. This is a fabulous opportunity for a learning support worker that enjoys working on a 1:1, small group and whole class basis with learners with varying complex needs. This is the number 1 specialist adult education centre and they are looking for an Specialist learning support worker for a full time, permanent role (all year round) to start ASAP. Applicants for this role need to be nurturing, patient and committed to making learning accessible to young people and adults with severe and complex learning difficulties including ASD, MLD, non-verbal, ADHD and challenging behaviour. This centre offers a 2 year training course completely free of charge with time in your working day to complete all necessary aspects. At the completion of the 2 years you will be a fully qualified level 3 LSW and immediately moved into the senior team. The Centre in question boasts brilliant grounds, outstanding resources and outdoor learning spaces. You would join a committed team and would support in the delivery of creative, relevant and practical learning and life skills that meets the needs of each individual. Requirements
  • Teaching Assistant Qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Relevant teaching Assistant, childcare or adult care experience (Must be able to provide references)
  • Experience working or supporting young adults with SEN (desirable)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
