Job description

We are recruiting for Learning Support Workers to join an exceptional school and sixth form based in Derbyshire, known for its excellent reputation among students and staff. Although initially these positions are temporary, there are permanent opportunities for the right candidates.

This is a term-time only post. We are looking to register candidates who can support students, teachers, curriculum, and the school on a daily basis, contributing to an environment that is happy, safe, and caring, where students can learn and communicate with confidence.


The school's students are aged between 5 and 20. They are passionate about transforming the lives of young people with special educational needs, anxieties, and phobias.


Candidate requirements:
  1. Highly motivated, hardworking, and flexible
  2. Resilient
  3. Deep desire to educate and support young people
  4. Understanding of SEND children and meeting their individual needs
  5. Good numeracy and literacy skills
  6. Previous classroom/support experience
  7. GCSE English & Maths at C and above
  8. NVQ Level III (Teaching Assistant) - desirable but not essential
