Job summary

Ysgol Bro Tawe is seeking a skilled Learning Support Assistant to work in our ASC Centre. You will support pupils’ learning, communication, wellbeing, independence and inclusion under the direction of the Teacher in Charge of the Specialist Centre.

The successful candidate will be calm, patient, flexible and able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, families and other professionals. Experience with pupils with additional learning needs or in a specialist provision would be

• Experience of working with pupils with additional learning needs and/or in a specialist provision would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in the Specialist Centre, helping access mainstream learning where appropriate.
• Assist with pupils' learning, communication, wellbeing, independence and inclusion under the Teacher in Charge.
• Contribute to specialist interventions and individual support programmes.
