Job summary

An Educational Institution in Peterborough seeks a Learning Support Practitioner dedicated to supporting learners with special educational needs and disabilities. In this role, you will provide one-on-one and group support, ensuring that students meet their educational goals. Qualifications

  • Compassionate and organized working with young people with diverse needs.
  • Experience with EHCPs or working in multi-disciplinary teams is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to deliver tailored support.
  • Help ensure EHCP outcomes are met.
  • Use assistive technologies to enhance learning.
  • Track and review SMART targets for learners.
  • Contribute to risk assessments and support planning.

Skills

Experience supporting learners with SEND
Strong IT skills (Google Suite, Microsoft Office)
Ability to communicate clearly
Knowledge of assistive strategies and tools

Education

Level 3 Learning Support qualification
Level 3 Preparing to Teach qualification
Level 2 English and Maths
