Learning Support Partner – Specialist SEND Provision

Teaching Personnel are working with a welcoming and well-established SEND school in Hayward Heath that supports pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and additional complex needs. We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Partner to join their team and provide meaningful, day-to-day support for pupils who benefit from a personalised and nurturing approach.

This role is ideal for someone who is patient, observant, and committed to helping young people access learning at a pace and style suited to them.

The Role

As a Learning Support Partner, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support to engage with learning, communicate their needs, and feel secure in their environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing targeted 1:1 support for pupils with SLD and communication needs
  • Assisting with behaviour regulation, emotional support, and routine transitions
  • Encouraging pupils to build independence, social skills, and self-confidence
  • Supporting sensory-based activities, structured lessons, and therapeutic input
  • Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver consistent strategies
  • Creating a calm, predictable, and encouraging environment throughout the school day
