Job summary

Eden Brown Synergy is recruiting for Learning Support Officers in Widnes on a temporary, ongoing basis. You will support students one-to-one or in small groups, helping them overcome barriers to learning and build confidence in inclusive classrooms.

The role requires experience in education, strong communication, and a patient, empathetic approach. DBS is required. Hours offered are 18, 25, or 30 per week, with an immediate start.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an educational environment.
• Experience supporting young people or adults with additional learning needs is desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, empathetic and supportive approach.
• The ability to build positive relationships with students.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support to students.
• Supporting students with their learning and development.
• Helping students overcome barriers to education and build confidence.
• Working alongside teaching staff to ensure students receive appropriate support.
• Adapting your approach to meet individual learning needs.
• Encouraging students to develop independence and achieve their goals.
• Maintaining a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Supporting students with additional learning needs where required.
