Job description
Learning Support Mentor – Activate Learning

As a Learning Support Mentor, you will be responsible for providing mentorship for new employees and supporting the development of existing staff. This role will play a critical part in supporting new employees into the role of a Learning Support Assistant at Activate Learning.

You will ensure they have access to appropriate resources and receive a comprehensive induction upon starting with us and beyond. In addition, you will support our existing staff with the day‑to‑day duties, offering guidance where necessary.

You will work closely with the LSA Team Lead to ensure we deliver positive achievements whilst providing high quality support to our students throughout their learning journey.

This is a part‑time (21 hours per week), term time (over 44 weeks), permanent contract based at City of Oxford College.

What do you need to be successful as a Learning Support Mentor?

As a Learning Support Mentor, you will have the ability to communicate effectively with a supportive mentoring approach that can motivate and encourage success.

  • English and Maths at a minimum of level 2
  • Experience of working with young people or adults with learning difficulties and/or disabilities
  • Evidence of teamwork and building good relationships with internal and external customers
