An innovative educational organization in Oxford seeks a part-time Learning Support Mentor to mentor new employees and support existing staff. The role involves facilitating a comprehensive induction for new Learning Support Assistants and providing day-to-day guidance. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of level 2 in English and Maths, experience with individuals having learning difficulties, and the ability to foster strong relationships. As a Learning Support Mentor, you will be responsible for providing mentorship for new employees and supporting the development of existing staff. This role will play a critical part in supporting new employees into the role of a Learning Support Assistant at Activate Learning.
You will ensure they have access to appropriate resources and receive a comprehensive induction upon starting with us and beyond. In addition, you will support our existing staff with the day‑to‑day duties, offering guidance where necessary.
You will work closely with the LSA Team Lead to ensure we deliver positive achievements whilst providing high quality support to our students throughout their learning journey.
This is a part‑time (21 hours per week), term time (over 44 weeks), permanent contract based at City of Oxford College.
As a Learning Support Mentor, you will have the ability to communicate effectively with a supportive mentoring approach that can motivate and encourage success.
