Learning Support Assistants – Secondary Schools, Wakefield

Location: Wakefield
Contract: Full-time, Part-time or Flexible
Start: ASAP
Pay: £90 to £100 per day, weekly PAYE pay

If you’re the kind of person who notices the quiet kid struggling before anyone else does, or you’ve got a gift for keeping teenagers calm on a wobbly day, you might be exactly who our Wakefield secondary schools are looking for.

We’re supporting several local schools who need compassionate, steady and proactive Learning Support Assistants to help pupils with their learning, confidence and everyday classroom challenges. Every day is different, and every win, big or small, really matters.

What you’ll be doing

• Supporting pupils who need an extra boost
• Helping them access lessons, stay focused and build confidence
• Working 1:1 or in small groups, depending on need
• Adapting activities and breaking down tasks
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
• Creating a positive, encouraging learning atmosphere

• Patience, empathy and a calm approach
• Confidence working with young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
