Salary: £95 - £105 per day (dependent on experience)

Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term

Tradewind Recruitment Birmingham are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) who is already First Aid trained, to join a welcoming and inclusive school in South Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people academically, emotionally, and medically when required.

In this vital dual role, you'll provide classroom support while also being the point of contact for First Aid across the school. Your calm, caring nature and ability to think clearly under pressure will be key to success.

The Role
  • Support students with their learning in 1:1, small-group, and classroom settings
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering accessible and engaging lessons
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and promote independence
  • Provide immediate First Aid support when incidents occur
  • Maintain First Aid records and ensure basic medical procedures are followed
  • Work closely with SEN staff, pastoral teams, and teaching staff
  • Contribute to a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
  • Up-to-date First Aid training (mandatory)
  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school
  • To be calm, approachable, and confident when dealing with minor medical situations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient, empathetic, and supportive attitude
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
