We are currently partnering with a popular and inclusive school in Westcliff-on-Sea that is expanding its learning support team for the upcoming academic term. They are seeking a proactive and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to start in January 2026.

You will play a key role in the classroom, bridging the gap between teaching and learning for students who need extra support.

  • 1:1 Support: Building a trusting relationship with students who have SEN (Special Educational Needs) or barriers to learning.
  • Classroom Engagement: Helping to break down lessons into digestible tasks to keep students motivated and on track.
  • Emotional Regulation: acting as a calming influence and helping students manage their emotions and social interactions.
  • Team Collaboration: Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Who We Are Looking For

To access the top end of our pay bracket (£110/day), we are looking for candidates with solid experience and a professional attitude.

  • Experience: Previous experience in education, child social care, or youth work is required.
  • SEN Knowledge: Experience supporting Autism, ADHD, or SEMH is highly desirable.
  • Attributes: You must be patient, resilient, and able to take initiative in a busy classroom environment.
  • Compliance: An active Enhanced DBS on the update service (or the willingness to apply for one immediately).
