About the School

Axcis Education provides a secure secondary trauma‑informed provision for students with complex social, emotional and mental health needs. All students have an EHCP and receive close supported and differentiated provision. The school offers a bespoke curriculum with outstanding food technology, art, music and P.E., and values a supportive culture with unity and support from colleagues and the leadership team.

Position Summary

We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team and play a key role in supporting pupils’ social, emotional and academic development. The role is full‑time, starting ASAP, with the possibility of becoming permanent. Salary £90‑£105 a day dependent on experience. Hours 8:30‑16:00.

Responsibilities
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional and academic development.
  • Assist with the implementation of EHCP and differentiated provision.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff in delivering the bespoke curriculum.
  • Monitor and record pupil behaviour and progress, and support self‑regulation strategies.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
Qualifications
  • Resilience to manage unpredictable behaviours and dysregulated students.
  • Passion for supporting SEND students and aiding self‑regulation.
  • Patience and motivation to support students below their age‑related expectations.
  • Relevant experience or qualification in education support or a related field.
