Job summary

Bede Academy has an exciting opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant to join the IL team and help deliver an enhanced service to staff and students. The post holder will work under the guidance of teaching staff to support learning, care and classroom management, upholding professional standards for Teaching Assistants.

We expect a high standard of professionalism and positive role-modeling as students develop, with information available in the job description and person specification.

Qualifications

• Work under instruction/guidance of teaching staff to undertake work/care/support programmes.
• Enable access to learning for students.
• Assist the teacher in the management of students and the classroom.
• Uphold the Professional Standards for Teaching Assistants.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with learning activities and tasks.
• Assist teachers with classroom management and student supervision.
• Model a positive attitude, work ethic and diligence in daily duties.
