Looking for a new and rewarding challenge? We’re dedicated to supporting students with SEN and ensuring that students reach their full potential. Over the past few years, we have had an increase in young people with both Educational Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and Special Educational Needs (SEN) and have developed our curriculum and grown our staff team in order to offer an outstanding experience for our students.
We are looking for additional people to join our Team supporting students to be successful within our Further Education offering. All roles involve supporting students, either in a group setting or on a 1-1 basis, both in class and throughout the college day. Students will be accessing the college campus as well as the wider community. You will be assisting students with a wide variety of learning needs and in a variety of settings to realise their goals and full potential. As we are a land‑based college, your support will be varied from supporting in the college zoo, to working with the Chelsea award‑winning horticulture team. Much of the support is outside and practical.
For all the roles, you need to have a good standard of education including English and Maths at grade C/4 or above or equivalent and willingness to undertake further training is essential. Experience of working with young people, ideally in an educational or care setting, is advantageous. We will support you to undertake the role with CPD and support to attain a professional related qualification.
There is plenty of opportunity for progression within the college and many of our LSAs complete the teacher training we offer and move into teaching roles at the college. Please specify on your application whether you are applying to the ‘mainstream’ or ‘foundation’ position (or both). We reserve the right to close these vacancies early should sufficient applications be received.
