Job summary

We’re proud to be working with a specialist SEND & SEMH Service in Scarborough, who are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (SEND & SEMH) to join their team immediately for long term roles. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who genuinely wants to make a lasting impact on young lives.

Location & Details
  • 📍 Location: Scarborough
  • đź’° Pay: up to ÂŁ16.00 per hour
  • 📆 Start Date: ASAP
  • đź“„ Contract: Full-time, long-term (for the full academic year, with potential to go permanent)
The Role

As a valued member of the support staff, you’ll be working closely with a small group of Key Stage 3 & 4 students with additional needs, supporting them with their learning, personal growth, and preparation for Post-16 education, further training, and employment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of SEND and SEMH needs
  • Foster independence and self-confidence in a structured, nurturing environment
  • Encourage engagement in academic lessons, vocational learning, and life-skills sessions
  • Implement positive behaviour support strategies tailored to individual needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams to ensure each child can thrive
