Job summary

Timeplan Education Group is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs at a SEND school in Benfleet, Essex. The role involves 1:1 learning support and care, with focus on children aged 5 to 18 and needs including ASD, ADHD, PMLD.

Candidates with experience in schools or care settings preferred; basic knowledge of personal care required. DBS check (or willingness to apply) is part of the process. Hours are term-time, 8:30am to 3:45pm, five days a week.

• DBS registered with the online update service or willingness to apply.
• Available 5 days a week with a 1–6 month commitment.

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant who is dedicated and passionate about supporting children with special educational needs. The school, based in Benfleet - Essex, caters for children and young adults from 5 to 18 years old with varied needs, such as ASD, ADHD, PMLD, Severe Learning Difficulties and Complex Needs.

Your role as a Learning Support Assistant will be to support the pupils on a 1:1 basis with their learning development and care needs while at school. Experience working with children with special educational needs is preferred but not essential. Experience working within a school-based or care-based environment is critical, as you must have basic knowledge and understanding of supporting children with learning care needs such as personal care.
