Job summary

Locking Primary School in Weston-super-Mare is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND. The role focuses on delivering TEACHH-based interventions and supporting wellbeing across year groups.

Experience with autistic children or social communication challenges is welcomed, with a view to helping each child thrive in a nurturing, inclusive environment. The post is fixed-term for term-time support with a view to extending where possible.

Qualifications

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for learners with SEND.
• Experience delivering speech and language, physiotherapy or occupational therapy programmes.
• Experience with autistic children and/or children with social communication barriers.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across all year groups using the TEACHH approach.
• Deliver targeted SEND interventions and promote learning and wellbeing.
