Job description

Axcis is working with a fantastic college in Redbridge and is looking to recruit an experienced teaching assistant on a full‑time or part‑time basis. The college offers a lovely environment and a supportive management team.

Responsibilities
  • Work with children aged 16‑21 in both classroom group settings and on a 1:1 basis.
  • Provide one‑to‑one support following tailored lesson plans and collaborate closely with a tutor who offers continuous guidance.
  • Apply knowledge of special educational needs to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Use a creative, flexible teaching approach that builds success through challenge, personalisation and innovation.
Qualifications and Attributes
  • Experience and confidence working with young people and special educational needs.
  • Positive "can‑do" attitude, resilient personality and a genuine commitment to young people’s welfare.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to varying learning needs.
Additional Information

This is a temporary position starting in September with flexible hours. The salary or pay rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
